I'm a religious scholar and director of SKIN-Rotterdam. My work focuses on religion, culture, music, and identity, with a particular interest in Moluccan Christianity in the Netherlands.
I studied Cultural Anthropology and completed a Research Master’s in Religious Studies at Utrecht University. My Master's thesis examined the connection between theology and lived religion, focusing on traditional church music in the Moluccan Protestant Church on the Central Moluccas. It was published as a monograph with Amsterdam University Press in 2025.
In 2026, I defended my PhD dissertation, Singing in Motion: Hymn Texts and Belonging among the Moluccan Protestant Community in the Netherlands, at Utrecht University.
