Hi, I'm Jip!
I'm a PhD candidate at Utrecht University, researching the role of religious song texts in shaping the identity of Moluccan Christians in the Netherlands.
Before this, I studied Cultural Anthropology and completed a Research Master’s in Religious Studies at Utrecht University. My Master's thesis examined the connection between theology and lived religion, focusing on traditional church music in the Moluccan Protestant Church in Central Maluku. It was recently published as a monograph with Amsterdam University Press.
